ABOUT THIS ROLE
Are you a detail-driven, highly organised Financial Accountant with strong experience in an accounting firm environment?
A well-established professional services firm is looking to appoint a skilled Financial Accountant early in the new year (February or March). This role is ideal for someone with a solid academic background, post-articles experience, and strong exposure to cloud-based accounting systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
🔹 Manage full accounting functions for a portfolio of clients
🔹 Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
🔹 Handle Income Tax and VAT submissions
🔹 Work on cloud accounting systems (Xero, Pastel, QuickBooks)
🔹 Assist with year-end processes and audit preparation
🔹 Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
🔹 Liaise with clients regarding queries, deadlines, and required documentation
🔹 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Honours advantageous)
✅ Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
✅ Post-articles experience within an accounting firm (e.g. Baker Tilly, PKF, or similar)
✅ Experience with Xero, Pastel, and/or QuickBooks
✅ Strong knowledge of Income Tax and VAT returns
✅ Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
✅ Strong organisational and communication skills
✅ Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
