A leading organisation is seeking a Procurement Assistant to support the buying and sourcing of packaging materials, consumables, and project components. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners to ensure materials arrive on time, costs are managed efficiently, and production demands are met seamlessly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
πΉ Place orders for packaging, consumables, and project items (local & import)
πΉ Track open orders and follow up on delays, shortages, and overdue shipments
πΉ Expedite, push, and pull orders as required
πΉ Manage call-off lists for stock-holding suppliers
πΉ Update shipment dates from freight trackers and monitor shipment status
πΉ Coordinate materials to and from 3PLs to fulfil demand
πΉ Oversee return processes and rejected stock replacements
πΉ Assist with sourcing new suppliers, obtaining quotes, and maintaining supplier lists
πΉ Maintain imports tracker, including payment and delivery dates
πΉ Manage import orders, documentation, and logistics for imports/exports
πΉ Assist with landed cost calculations and freight estimates
πΉ Support admin process for new product launches
πΉ Brief colour matches to suppliers and track progress to final approval
πΉ Liaise with Activation team for point-of-sale (POS) requirements and quote requests
πΉ Maintain POS tracker and delivery dates
πΉ Assist with innovation and gifting sample arrangements
πΉ Prepare weekly scheduling updates for seasonal imports
πΉ Maintain accurate administrative and procurement records
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelorβs Degree in Supply Chain or related field
β
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (FMCG environment beneficial)
β
Experience using ERP inventory systems (Syspro or SAP advantageous)
β
Strong administrative ability with high accuracy
β
Advanced Excel skills preferred
β
Excellent verbal & written communication
β
Strong numeracy and problem-solving ability
β
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure
β
Proactive, solutions-driven mindset
β
Able to confidently follow up and hold people accountable
β
Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal teams
