ABOUT THIS ROLE
Are you a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator with strong creditors and procurement experience?
A well-established organisation is seeking an Accounting Coordinator – Creditors to join their Finance team on a 4 month temp assignment. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting knowledge, strong SAP experience, and a methodical, process-driven approach.
You will be responsible for procurement administration, full creditors management, general ledger processing, and supporting various financial administrative functions, while working closely with the Cost Accountant and finance team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
🔹 Ensure compliance with the company’s Procurement Policy
🔹 Manage purchase orders through the Procurement System
🔹 Check accuracy of purchase order information (GL coding, VAT, references, descriptions)
🔹 Close purchase orders on SAP and report daily on open PO reports
🔹 Maintain and manage the supplier database on SAP
🔹 Process creditor invoices according to agreed payment terms
🔹 Reconcile monthly creditor statements to the SAP supplier ledger
🔹 Ensure creditors aging remains current and within payment terms
🔹 Resolve supplier queries timeously
🔹 Prepare payment requisitions (creditors and once-off payments)
🔹 Scan and file supplier documentation
🔹 Assist with month-end processes
🔹 Support ISO audit and BBBEE requirements
🔹 Perform ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
✅ Matric
✅ Studying towards a Degree or Diploma in Accounting
✅ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting/creditors role
✅ Strong accounting systems experience (SAP advantageous)
✅ Good understanding of accounting standards and processes
✅ Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
✅ High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
✅ Analytical and problem-solving ability
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Methodical, organised, and deadline-driven
✅ Ability to work independently and under pressure
✅ Willingness to work additional hours when required
