Our Client is looking for an IT Solution Architect Lead to join their IT department in a pivotal leadership role. In this fixed-term position of 1 year, you’ll be responsible for driving the full software development lifecycle – designing, building, and maintaining critical business systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
🔹 Lead the design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of core business systems
🔹 Drive and oversee application development—from concept through to deployment
🔹 Mentor, guide, and lead the development team to maintain high levels of productivity and technical excellence
🔹 Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential to add value to the business
🔹 Develop and maintain system documentation, versioning, and technical test plans
🔹 Ensure security, scalability, and efficiency are at the core of all development efforts
🔹 Advise senior management on systems architecture, integration strategies, and tech-driven growth opportunities
🔹 Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards across all IT initiatives
🔹 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align IT systems with business objectives
🔹 Oversee application support resources and project delivery timelines
🔹 Continuously improve systems based on user feedback and business needs
🔹 Perform additional tasks as reasonably required by management
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
✅ 10+ years of general IT experience with 5+ years in IT leadership
✅ Proven full-stack development expertise (minimum 10 years, predominantly in C#)
✅ Strong background in backend languages (C#, Java), frameworks, and frontend tech
✅ Advanced skills in MSSQL, web servers, and application services
✅ Proficiency with EDI frameworks, RESTful APIs, web services, and system integration
✅ Excellent debugging, documentation, and testing capabilities
✅ Experience coaching and mentoring software development teams
✅ Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight
✅ Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially Azure) and containerization
✅ Exposure to data warehousing and Power BI is a plus
✅ Industry experience in logistics or supply chain is advantageous
✅ Degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)
✅ Matric or equivalent qualification (required)
