Are you an experienced retail leader with a strong sales background and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service?
A well-established organisation is seeking a Retail Branch Manager to take full responsibility for the successful operation of a busy branch. This is a hands-on management role where you will be actively involved on the shop floor, leading your team, driving sales performance, overseeing stock control, and ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations.
The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, customer-focused, and confident managing both people and branch performance in a fast-paced retail environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Sales & Performance Management
๐น Drive achievement of branch sales targets and revenue growth
๐น Monitor sales performance and communicate progress with sales staff
๐น Oversee daily sales coordination and order processing
๐น Manage quotations and back-orders, ensuring clients are updated on ETAโs
๐น Identify and prioritise key stock items to maximise sales
Branch & Operations Management
๐น Lead, manage, and support in-house sales staff
๐น Conduct strategy meetings and weekly sales performance reviews
๐น Oversee personnel management (performance, discipline, training, attendance)
๐น Monitor daily and monthly stock counts
๐น Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
๐น Liaise with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding urgent deliveries and stock queries
๐น Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
๐น Implement and maintain stock control policies and procedures
๐น Manage exports and related documentation
Customer Service Excellence
๐น Provide hands-on customer assistance on the shop floor
๐น Offer product advice and guidance
๐น Handle refunds, complaints, and problem resolution professionally
๐น Demonstrate product use and provide warranty and maintenance information
๐น Ensure warranty processes and documentation are completed accurately
Finance & Administration
๐น Oversee debtors, creditors, IBTโs, and general administrative functions
๐น Reconcile accounts and assist with payment allocations
๐น Authorise credit notes and review invoices
๐น Ensure accurate cash-ups and POS reconciliation
๐น Maintain branch asset register and manage expense claims
๐น Process inter-branch transfers and manage documentation flow to Head Office
๐น Oversee scrap and warranty invoicing and banking
๐น Manage attendance registers and general branch administration

Minimum 5 yearsโ retail branch management experience

Proven sales track record with strong commercial ability

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Computer literate (MS Office)
