ABOUT THIS ROLE

Are you an experienced retail leader with a strong sales background and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service?

A well-established organisation is seeking a Retail Branch Manager to take full responsibility for the successful operation of a busy branch. This is a hands-on management role where you will be actively involved on the shop floor, leading your team, driving sales performance, overseeing stock control, and ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations.

The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, customer-focused, and confident managing both people and branch performance in a fast-paced retail environment.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

Sales & Performance Management
๐Ÿ”น Drive achievement of branch sales targets and revenue growth
๐Ÿ”น Monitor sales performance and communicate progress with sales staff
๐Ÿ”น Oversee daily sales coordination and order processing
๐Ÿ”น Manage quotations and back-orders, ensuring clients are updated on ETAโ€™s
๐Ÿ”น Identify and prioritise key stock items to maximise sales

Branch & Operations Management
๐Ÿ”น Lead, manage, and support in-house sales staff
๐Ÿ”น Conduct strategy meetings and weekly sales performance reviews
๐Ÿ”น Oversee personnel management (performance, discipline, training, attendance)
๐Ÿ”น Monitor daily and monthly stock counts
๐Ÿ”น Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
๐Ÿ”น Liaise with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding urgent deliveries and stock queries
๐Ÿ”น Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
๐Ÿ”น Implement and maintain stock control policies and procedures
๐Ÿ”น Manage exports and related documentation

Customer Service Excellence
๐Ÿ”น Provide hands-on customer assistance on the shop floor
๐Ÿ”น Offer product advice and guidance
๐Ÿ”น Handle refunds, complaints, and problem resolution professionally
๐Ÿ”น Demonstrate product use and provide warranty and maintenance information
๐Ÿ”น Ensure warranty processes and documentation are completed accurately

Finance & Administration
๐Ÿ”น Oversee debtors, creditors, IBTโ€™s, and general administrative functions
๐Ÿ”น Reconcile accounts and assist with payment allocations
๐Ÿ”น Authorise credit notes and review invoices
๐Ÿ”น Ensure accurate cash-ups and POS reconciliation
๐Ÿ”น Maintain branch asset register and manage expense claims
๐Ÿ”น Process inter-branch transfers and manage documentation flow to Head Office
๐Ÿ”น Oversee scrap and warranty invoicing and banking
๐Ÿ”น Manage attendance registers and general branch administration


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

โœ… Matric
โœ… Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ retail branch management experience
โœ… Proven sales track record with strong commercial ability
โœ… Strong leadership and people management skills
โœ… Excellent customer service and communication skills
โœ… Computer literate (MS Office)
โœ… Valid driverโ€™s license
โœ… Professional, mature, and well-presented individual
โœ… Persuasive, persistent, and results-driven mindset
